Maine Medical Center is a Magnet recognized academic medical center and cornerstone member of Maine Health in the idyllic location of Portland, Maine. The Integrated Imaging Informatics team is looking for full-time clinical analyst to join our team as we venture into Enterprise Imaging.

This Systems Analyst role is accountable for analysis, design, implementation and support of computer systems in an Enterprise Imaging setting. The candidate should also have strong project/program startup skills and experience presenting to both clinical and administrative executive leadership. Systems supported may include, but are not limited to; Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA), Enterprise viewer and Cardiology information system applications. The system support may involve changes or new functionality within a site's current system or the implementation of the system at a new site. This is the second level of a three level career path. Typically works with end users (including physicians and clinical staff), managers, line management and senior management on efforts with a medium level of complexity. Incumbents in this role design system components, write specifications, estimate work, define solutions, perform system build and create system level documentation. The Systems Analyst is viewed as a respected resource within the department and within the larger organization. Participation as a member of the Off Hours On Call support team is required in this position.

  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

    • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

    • License/Certification: Certified in 2-4 applications or other software certification or experience relevant to position.

    • Experience: 2-3 years' healthcare experience. 3 years' Analysis and Design experience.

    • Team Player

    • Facilitation skills

    • Problem solving skills

    • Strong business acumen

    • Mastery of program development tools such as editors and configuration tools.

    • Proven ability to utilize knowledge of computer systems and data structures to develop system solutions.

    • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
