Position Overview:

The Yarmouth School Department is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Educational Technician beginning the 2025-2026 school year. This position is part of our Instructional Support programming, working with Special Education teachers and supporting students with Individualized Education Plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) under the direction of Special Education teachers.
• Provide both academic and social-emotional assistance in classroom settings.
• Work collaboratively within the Instructional Support team.

Qualifications:

• Educational Technician III certification from the Maine Department of Education (or the ability to obtain certification).
• Experience working with students with developmental disabilities preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Patience, flexibility, and a passion for supporting students with diverse needs.

  Base pay for an Educational Technician III in the 2025-26 school year is $25.54 and will be adjusted commensurate with experience.
