For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to a $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience!
- Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
- Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
Summary:
This role provides education, emotional support, and care coordination for individuals at risk for hereditary conditions, ensuring they understand test results and treatment options. The navigator collaborates with genetic counselors, oncology teams, and other healthcare providers to streamline patient care and facilitate timely interventions. Strong communication, patient advocacy, and knowledge of genetics are essential to guide patients and their families through complex decision-making processes.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required. Bachelor’s Degree may be required.
- License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Oncology Certification (OCN) or defined process for receiving certification required.
- Experience: Experience working in a medical setting and interacting collaboratively with medical teams required. Experience working with oncology patients and families preferred. Experience in community outreach preferred.
