Our KidsPeace Schools are special purpose private schools serving youth with developmental disabilities and emotional disorders. We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and disciplined clinician to support our students’ emotional and mental well-being in a supportive and dynamic school setting.

Position Overview: As a School-Based Clinician, you will provide critical therapeutic services to students in our Millinocket and Old Town Schools. Your primary responsibility is to support students with emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges by offering therapy, interventions, and emotional support. This position allows you to work closely with educators, parents, and other team members to ensure students receive care that supports both their emotional and educational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide therapy: Deliver counseling services to students, addressing emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges.
Create and implement treatment plans: Develop client-driven, goal-oriented treatment plans that focus on each student’s needs and strengths.
Conduct assessments and crisis intervention: Evaluate students' mental health needs and intervene during crisis situations to ensure their safety and well-being.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: Work with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to develop a coordinated approach to student support.
Monitor and track student progress: Regularly assess the effectiveness of treatment plans and adjust as necessary to ensure ongoing progress.
Provide parent and family support: Engage with families to provide counseling, training, and guidance on supporting their child's mental health and development.
Connect students with community resources: Facilitate referrals to external support services, including mental health programs, social services, and community organizations.
Supervise students: Provide behavioral guidance and supervision to students, helping them develop coping strategies, social skills, and emotional resilience.
Document and maintain records: Maintain accurate and confidential records of student progress, treatment plans, and communications with families and other professionals.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, or a related field
LCSW, LCSW-c, LCPC, or LCPC-c licensure
Valid driver’s license
Ability to pass a background check
