Job Description
CHCS is seeking an individual to work in Penobscot County in partnership with law enforcement and other First Responder agencies to provide SUD/OUD community intervention services to prevent and respond to overdose events. The Overdose Prevention Through Intensive Outreach, Naloxone and Safety (OPTIONS) Liaison will provide brief intervention, follow-up support, engagement, education, and linkage to other community resources. Bachelor’s degree preferred in related mental health or social work field plus have experience in addiction treatment and recovery. Must, at minimum, hold a CADC or LADC license, LCPC/LCSW clinicians also encouraged to apply, salary will depend upon licensure and experience. This position will traditionally be Monday through Friday This program is designed to work in partnership with law enforcement and other first responder agencies in Penobscot/Piscataquis Counties to provide SUD/OUD community intervention services to prevent and respond to overdose events.
