Position Summary:

This position is seeking a skilled and experienced person with a focus on provider support and Epic engagement in both ambulatory and inpatient settings.

The Clinical Informatics Specialist (CIS) role is responsible for integrating healthcare science, computer science, and information science to participate in the analysis, planning, development, training, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of Clinical Information Systems across the organization. Also responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and mentoring of clinical informatics training and education programs.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. EPIC certifications/credentialed trainer preferred. Certification in Nursing Informatics preferred. Candidates without EPIC certification/credentialing are required to obtain certification or credentialed status within 6 months of start date.
  3. Experience: Two years of relevant clinical and/or training experience required.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
