Outpatient Scheduling Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY AND SCOPE

Develop and implement outpatient scheduling policies and procedures according to the hospital’s available services and guidelines.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Establishes efficient workflows to support the accurate and timely scheduling of hospital patients.
• Ensures the appropriate staffing of OP scheduling.
• Directs and supervises daily activities of all scheduling staff.
• Ensures a positive patient experience during the scheduling process.
• Participates in scheduling activities.
• Tracks staff productivity and accuracy and established process improvement.
• Works closely with op management to establish accurate scheduling templating.
• Produces various reports and feedback as requested and addresses non-routine items with VP of Finance or appropriate revenue cycle leader.
• Strives to create an atmosphere in the department that exemplifies excellent customer service
• Participates in various committees and meetings as assigned
• Adheres to the organizational leadership profile
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Performs duties in a safe manner, in compliance with all safety policies and procedures
• Complies with the Code of Conduct and all appropriate policies and procedures
• Other duties, as assigned, that are relevant to the position and department

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Associates Degree in a Business-related field or equivalent experience
• Two years management experience or supervisory experience
