Woodfords Family Services is seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) Facilities Technician I to join our team! This position will be based at our Westbrook, ME campus and will require routine travel across all of Woodfords' locations and facilities.

Position Summary

The Facilities Technician I position serves as an entry-level member of the Facilities team. The role requires proven knowledge and skills in carpentry and/or related trades, as well as perform general property and building maintenance. The facilities technician must maintain a standard of facility performance that will meet the needs to the staff and consumers.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary for all sites, independently and/or as directed by the Facilities Manager.
  • Works alongside team members to build upgrades to decks, interior painting, flooring, doors and windows as scheduled by the Facilities Manager.
  • Schedule and perform lawn maintenance as required by all sites.
  • Perform snow removal and sanding of driveways and walkways to insure the safe passage during winter months and operating agency snow plow.
  • Support of Agency fundraisers and other events.

Opportunity Details

  • $20.50-$23.00 per hour - dependent upon experience
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday through Friday - Occasional nights and/or weekends required for event setup, storm duties, etc.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Post-secondary degree or certificate in building trades, carpentry, or related field preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in facility maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, electrical or related job.
  • Experience with and ability to operate a variety of equipment, including snow blowers, lawn mowers, and small hand tools necessary to complete duties of the position.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and use of a vehicle daily.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
