Job Description
- This is a full-time (35 hour per week) benefits eligible, school year only position at Jordan-Small Middle School. This position supports students in grades 5–8 by delivering targeted academic interventions in reading and math.
The role involves working directly with students through push-in and small group instruction, maintaining intervention documentation, and collaborating with teachers and support staff to enhance student academic growth and achievement.
Candidate must have the following:
Experience:
1.Experience providing academic support to students.
2.Effective interpersonal and organizational skills.
Special Knowledge / Skills:
- Ability to support struggling students.
- Ability to conduct and supervise small group and individual instruction.
- Knowledge of intervention strategies for supporting students not meeting grade-level benchmarks.
- Skills to operate under a pro-active and flexible schedule.
Job Duties may include, but are not limited to:
-Providing testing accommodations, including administration in a small group setting.
-Supporting math and reading instruction through push-in services.
-Leading small group instruction in math and reading.
-Planning and preparing instructional materials for small group sessions.
-Delivering targeted WIN (What I Need) interventions.
-Implementing RTI B strategies, including Check-In/Check-Out systems.
-Maintaining accurate documentation related to academic interventions.
-Supervision duties in various settings (e.g., hallways, lunchroom, recess).

Job Requirements
- Must hold or be in the process of obtaining an Educational Technician III certification with the Department of Education.
