DFD Russell Medical Centers (DFDRMC) operates three community health centers in central Maine and a location in Bridgton. We are seeking a full-time certified Phlebotomist to work between our central Maine (Turner, Leeds, and Monmouth) locations.

Our health centers serve a multicultural, rural population of about 10,000 patients and have a family practice focus serving pediatrics to geriatrics. We have integrated behavioral health, care managers, a patient assistance coordinator, and an excellent clinical support staff.

Phlebotomists are responsible for performing specimen collection and processing, tracking, ordering and other laboratory tasks. Our staff is cross trained in many aspects of patient care, so we are looking for a self-motivated Phlebotomist that is interested in providing the best possible healthcare to our patients. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to project a pleasant and professional image even under stressful situations.
  • Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others.
  • Ability to organize and accomplish multiple tasks and to have the flexibility to meet changing demands daily.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with patients, physicians, supervisors, and other staff.
  • Knowledge of healthcare field and medical office protocols/procedures
  • Skill in performing phlebotomy tasks appropriately.
  • Minimum one year experience working in a medical facility as a phlebotomist and/or documented evidence of externship completed in a medical office.
  • Current BLS required or must be obtained within 3 months from start of employment.
  • Reliable transportation to work at alternate worksites.
  • Must be fully vaccinated.
  • Phlebotomist Certification

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Phlebotomy: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:
