This position is full time, 40 hours per week, 10am to 6:30pm, and includes every weekend.

We are searching for an experienced Cook, who is flexible and adaptable, to cover where needed throughout the facility.

The Cook is responsible for safe food handling practices in accordance with sanitation/infection control and universal precaution procedures, preparation of lunch and dinner for the house, and assisting with the therapeutic nutritional needs of the residents.

Our Augusta Home provides long term care, short term skilled nursing care, memory care, and assisted living residential care. We opened a new state-of-the-art facility in early 2022. MVH - Augusta is the first of its kind in Maine to deliver long-term care through the small house model. This model is organized around the idea of intentional community, offering residents a way to maximize normal living environments and routines, providing a sense of community and better quality of life.

Experience and Skills

  • Must have at least 2-3 years of formal cooking experience
  • Current ServSafe Certification preferred
