Description

Tyler Technologies is seeking a Contracts Specialist to join our corporate legal team. The Contracts Specialist is responsible for generating, negotiating and administering contracts, amendments and related documents, in accordance with established templates and practices. The Contracts Specialist will support and assist Corporate Attorneys and serve as a contractual point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Administer contracts, modifications, and related contractual documents in accordance with corporate policies and procedures
  • Prepare contracts and other legal agreements based on provided templates
  • Negotiate contract documents in accordance with defined guidelines
  • Route contracts for required signatures, revenue review and compliance; organize and maintain electronic contract files and contract database
  • Provide summary exceptions based on defined parameters after review of client requests for proposal and similar documents
  • Assist in ensuring both contractual compliance and compliance with company policies and objectives
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, both internal and external in regard to contractual matters
  • Support and assist team Attorneys and/or management as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree coupled with contract administration or comparable paralegal experience
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business, or a related discipline coupled with 5+ years of contract administration or comparable paralegal experience; OR a High School diploma coupled with 11+ years of contract administration experience
  • Experience in the public sector
  • Good to strong analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with software licensing and the administration of fixed price contracts and labor hour agreements.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office experience (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers and external partners
