Heavy Equipment Operator with Basic Mechanic Skills

Benson Farm Earth Products is seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who not only has experience operating large machinery like loaders and dump trucks but also has basic mechanical skills to assist with light maintenance and upkeep of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate heavy equipment such as loaders, dump trucks and forklifts.

• Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance (e.g., greasing, fluid checks, minor repairs)

• Troubleshoot and assist with light mechanical repairs and upkeep to prevent downtime

• Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment fleet

• Follow all safety procedures and company protocols

Qualifications:

• Valid Maine driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)

• Experience operating heavy machinery in a commercial or agricultural setting

• Basic mechanical skills with ability to perform light maintenance and minor repairs

• Reliable, hardworking, and a team player with attention to safety

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
