Full job description Sanford School Nutrition is seeking a part time Kitchen Personnel for Margaret Chase Smith Elementary. This position is 5 days per week, 5.5 hours per day, hours are 7:45am-1:45pm. Food service experience is preferred but not required.

Kitchen Personnel prepare and serve food that is safe & healthful, using up to date cooking methods.
The job requirements are as follows:
  • Operate all kitchen equipment
  • Assist at service time
  • Participate in cleanup of kitchen and cafeteria including washing dishes, pots & pans and other equipment
  • Prepare daily records and assist in preparing monthly inventories
  • Manage work schedule to meet all deadlines
  • Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality when dealing with student, staff and/or parent information
  • Other duties as assigned

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be physically fit and able to lift 40 pounds
  • Able to read, convert and follow through recipes to end product
  • Must be dependable with an excellent attendance record
  • Thorough knowledge of USDA menu pattern requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food safety and sanitation
