The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $111,544 to $160,345
JOB SUMMARY:
Scope of Work:
This position is responsible for contributing directly to the enhancement of the short-term forecasting processes for AVANGRID, including the performance analysis and key performance reporting for AVANGRID and its affiliates. This role will have strong interactions with Avangrid CEO office, Business Segments and Corporate functions. This position will support in the financial analysis and research projects regarding business issues to provide management with financial data and business advice to support key business objectives.
MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyzes, reviews and proposes improvements of the AGR short term financial planning process. That includes the Budgeting and Revision processes.
- Prepares executive documents to effectively communicate financial results performance to both internal senior management and Board of Directors.
- Participates in ad-hoc financial analysis, business analysis, profitability and cost analysis projects.
- Leads process improvement projects within the Business Performance area.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including story telling.
- Stakeholder relationship management.
- Understanding of main value levers of AGR Business Segments (Networks, Renewables, Corporate)
- Project Management experience.
- Adopting innovative solutions for process improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of financial experience, including financial analysis/modeling and communication with senior management.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred), financial planning tools (Adaptive or SAC preferred), financial systems implementations, including strong demonstrated use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Google tools.
- Utilities experience preferred but not required.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related field required.
- Master’s degree preferred but not required.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Charted Financial Analyst) preferred but not required.
