- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program with a Maine State license to practice medicine and have a valid DEA number is required.
- At least two years’ experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant strongly preferred.
- Board Certification by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or American College of Nurse Practitioners upon graduation; or
- Board Certification by the American Academy of Physician Assistants or American College of Physician Assistants upon graduation.
- Be able to be credentialed at assigned hospitals and contractible on Greater Portland Health insurance plans.
- Must not be excluded from participation in federal health care programs.
