The Spiritual Care Provider's role is to recognize and address spiritual needs of patients of all faiths, their families and hospital staff, within the constraints of time available. As appropriate, the chaplain will serve also as liaison to area clergy and Eucharistic Visitors.
Some Essential Responsibilities include:
Meets one-on-one with hospital patients and their families who have requested spiritual care.
Checks in with patients/families and friends in Med-Surg, ICU and Emergent Care Waiting areas.
Provides on call emergency care to patients and staff as needed.
Connects patients with appropriate ministers in local faith community as requested.
In order to help us continue to provide exceptional care, we're looking for your background to include:
Completion of a Master of Divinity , Masters of Arts in Religion, or Master of Pastoral Counseling
Completion of at least two, four preferred of Clinical Pastoral Education units.
