Job Description
Long term substitute Library/Media Specialist position open at Windham Middle School. This LT Substitute will work to continue with a strong emphasis on literacy, literacy engagement, and on their role as a support to our students and teachers.
1.The ability to create and maintain positive relations with school personnel, and citizens, and to collaborate with the appropriate stakeholders to maintain high quality of services.
2.Plans and administers the school library-media program, working cooperatively with the Principal and other members of the school staff.
3.Develops and implements a comprehensive set of media program policies and practices which govern the library-media scope of services.
4.Supervises the processing and cataloging of all library-media materials.
5.Supervises use of, instruction for, and maintenance of all library-media equipment.
6. Will be an Advisor for an Advisory class which meets fro 30 minutes every other day
7.Assists students and teachers in meeting their classroom needs through use of the Media Center and its resources.
8.Develops, with the Building Principal, a schedule for the use of the Media Center and its materials and equipment.
9.Provides opportunities for public access to library-media services as is appropriate.
10.Perform such other duties that may be reasonable assigned by the Principal from time-to-time.

Job Requirements
- Applicants must have hold Maine Certification with (endorsement 71) and have an approved CHRC at time of hire.
- Bachelor degree preferred.
