Margaret Chase Smith School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Technician II to join our team in supporting Title I literacy and math programs at the elementary level. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with classroom teachers and fellow Title I staff to deliver targeted academic interventions, facilitate small-group instruction, and help students achieve grade-level benchmarks in reading and mathematics.
Located in Sanford, MCS serves approxiamtely 375 students in grades Prek-4. We are proud to offer a rich educational experience supported by specialists in art, music, physical education, health, and media/library services. In addition to robust Title I programming, our school provides support for English Language Learners and Gifted and Talented students. Instructional coaches and interventionists in both literacy and math further strengthen our commitment to student success.

Responsibilities Include:
- Provide direct academic support in literacy and math to students in small groups or one-on-one settings
- Implement instructional strategies and interventions as guided by the classroom teacher and literacy/math coaches
- Support student engagement through positive behavior strategies and relationship-building
- Assist in monitoring student progress and maintaining documentation
- Collaborate with teachers to align support with classroom instruction
- Participate in weekly Title 1 data meetings, monthly MTSS meetings, and other professional development opportunties
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of college (60 credits) or successful completion of the Ed Tech II certification process
- Experience working with elementary-aged children
- Knowledge of effective literacy and math instructional strategies a plus
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
