Title: Senior Full Stack Engineer
Location: Remote
Experience Level: Senior (8 – 10 years)
Schedule: M-F, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm EST

Overview:
Our client is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help drive innovation and enhance existing VetLab software. You will be a key player in solving complex problems, delivering scalable solutions, and contributing to the evolution of veterinary care technology. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in customer-facing software development with proficiency across the full stack, from the database to the presentation layer.

Top Required Skillsets:

  • Full stack web-server application development using Java, JavaScript, React, and TypeScript
  • Strong results orientation with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated and highly organized

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team of talented engineers to develop scalable and innovative solutions
  • Work on a highly complex, integrated system and continuously learn new technologies
  • Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications with a focus on customer-facing software
  • Reverse engineer existing code and transform business requirements into efficient, unit-tested solutions
  • Take ownership of your work, ensuring projects are completed on time and meet quality standards
  • Participate in Agile Scrum teams, utilizing test-driven development, automated testing, and continuous integration

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 7+ years of experience in full stack web application development
  • Expertise in Java, JavaScript, React, TypeScript
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with Node.js, Electron
  • Experience with Spring, Hibernate, and REST API design
  • Agile experience and a desire to work in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative team environment.
