Position Overview:
Village Elementary School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated 2nd Grade Teacher who is committed to creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment The ideal candidate fosters a positive classroom community, delivers engaging and differentiated instruction, and supports the academic and social-emotional growth of all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality instruction aligned with grade-level standards
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
- Use assessment data to inform instruction and provide targeted support
- Collaborate with colleagues in grade-level teams and Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)
- Communicate effectively with families to support student learning and development
- Integrate social-emotional learning into daily classroom practices
Qualifications:
- Maine Elementary Teaching Certification (or eligibility)
- Knowledge of early literacy, numeracy, and child development
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to meeting the needs of all learners
