The Westbrook School Department is seeking an Athletics & Activities Director at Westbrook High School beginning Juily 1, 2025. This position will include everything that goes into providing each enrolled student at WHS diverse opportunities to participate in athletics and extra-curricular activities.

Our next Athletics & Activities Director will be a knowledgeable, creative, and energetic asset to our team. This is a full-time position that entails leading the WHS Athletics & Activities Department in offering our student body a wide variety of stimulating and engaging extra-curricular outlets. The ideal candidate will have experience as an educator, coach, and administrator at the 9-12 level. We are looking for a candidate experienced in working with a team of administrators to deliver strong extra-curricular programs year round. We also prefer a candidate who has expertise creating and managing a dynamic calendar of events, activities, and transportation. Clear and timely communication with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including students, families, teachers, administration, coaches, and advisors, is of paramount importance. Additionally, the candidate should be familiar with both MPA and Westbrook Schools academic and sports/activities eligibility standards and practices. Finally, the candidate should reflect a leader who can confidently manage both personnel and facilities, which include but are not limited to the athletic fields, the gymnasium and auxiliary spaces, and the auditorium. The ideal candidate will be fully certified with fingerprinting and a favorable background check.

Westbrook High School offers a STEM endorsed diploma and a Visual & Performing Arts endorsed diploma. We also offer programming to prepare students for Westbrook Regional Technical Center and PATHS. Finally, we are proud to prepare students for the Seal of Bi-Literacy through our Multilingual Learner programming and our Modern and Classical Language courses. Westbrook High School has become a springboard for students to join the military, enter the workforce or go onto college through relevant and rigorous coursework and the guidance of our Aspirations Counselor and Student Services Department.
