Title: Respiratory Therapy Clinical Adjunct Faculty Position

Bargaining Unit/Salary Level: Salary and benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the Maine Community College System and the MSEA Adjunct Faculty Bargaining Unit.

Responsibilities: Respiratory Therapy Clinical Adjunct faculty play a vital role in the education of our students. Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising patient care provided by students while they complete their clinical rotations;
  • Coordinating with clinicians at the clinical site to make student patient assignments;
  • Teaching students how to perform duties in the clinical site and answering their questions; and
  • Evaluating students’ clinical work.

The successful candidate would need to be available 1-2 days a week from 6:30am - 3:00pm for clinical sites in the Bangor area.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants for these positions are required to have a Registered Respiratory Therapist credential and an unencumbered Maine RRT license. The successful applicants should have 3–5 years of experience in the practice of respiratory care. Teaching experience is preferred. Demonstrated professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative work style are essential. The applicant must meet clinical facility immunization requirements.
