MARY SNOW SCHOOL
GRADE 4-5
SCHOOL COUNSELOR - Anticipated

Maine certification in elementary guidance.
At least two years of successful teaching experience at the elementary level
Maintains student records and protects their confidentiality
Works to resolve students' educational and social challenges
Confers with parents whenever necessary
Maintains a supportive relationship with other professional staff
Maintains contact with other social-service agencies
Makes referrals to special services within the school system, as well as appropriate community agencies
Serves as the 504 Coordinator
Makes home visitations when necessary
Teaches guidance curriculum in classrooms
Performs such other duties, consistent with the position, as may be assigned by the Superintendent of Schools
