General Summary:

This position is responsible for managing content development in support of customer marketing initiatives, with a focus on customer communications and engagement. This includes creating and planning content that aligns to business initiatives and message strategy, working with creative resources to produce it and coordinating with customer marketing, business partners and field teams to ensure successful delivery.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties

  • Create, plan, and produce content to support customer marketing initiatives aligned to business goals, audiences, and message strategy
  • Understand the customer communications journey and heavily align content to the audience perspective, pain points, and characteristics identified by research partners
  • Engage and align to internal stakeholders (including sales) to develop core content assets that are ideal for both audience engagement and driving customer satisfaction
  • Work with digital marketing teams to optimize communications messaging and report on content engagement, interactions, and consumption
  • Identify trends, insights, and best practices for new content development and formats.
  • Help manage testing of content and messaging (including calls-to-action)
  • Works closely with writers and videographers to build out new and updated materials for customer communications
  • Perform primary writing duties when needed on key projects
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Job Specifications

  • 4-year college degree required with at least 4 years of Marketing experience with an emphasis on content marketing, social media, and demand generation
  • A high degree of initiative, creativity and problem-solving skills will be expected
  • Strong understanding of communications, personalization, marketing-sales funnel metrics, and how they can be analyzed
  • Experience in producing content at scale for mass delivery and channel distribution
  • Experience in WebCMS, marketing automation, and other marketing technologies
  • Ability to leverage analytics and data to inform content creation
  • Proficient in Salesforce and Marketing automation platforms (Salesforce and Sitecore a plus)
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with and manage cross functional teams

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.
