Core Responsibilities
- Uses innovative, state-of-the art provider data management tools to carry out credentialing and privileging processes for surgeons and surgical APPs.
- Supports the peer review process for Surgical Medical Sta?.
- Carries out onboarding programs for Surgical Medical Sta?.
- Uses protocols and systems for tracking providers’ expirable documents (e.g., medical license, DEA license, Board certification status, certificate of insurance and more) required for privileges.
- Engages in the primary source credentialing process to verify education, training, licensure, board certi?cation, references, insurance, etc. for privileges applicants
- Administratively supports the ASC’s quality assurance activities including the Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) and Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) processes.
- Creatively seeks solutions to foster continuous quality and process improvement.
- Works in partnership with the clinical teams, practice leadership, and senior leadership teams

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in healthcare credentialing and privileging preferred
- Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart con?dential information.
- Knowledge of medical sta? a?airs operational process.
- Knowledge of medical credentialing and privileging procedures and standards.
- Knowledge of related accreditation and certi?cation requirements.
- Working knowledge of clinical and/or ASC operations and procedures.
- Knowledge of clinical privilege criteria development.
- Knowledge of medical sta? policies, regulations, and bylaws and the legal environment within which they operate.
- Knowledge of performance improvement techniques.
- Information research skills.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and draw inferences from research ?ndings, and prepare reports.
- Ability to communicate e?ectively, both orally and in writing with all levels of the organization. Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools.
- Database management skills including query and report generation. Ability to make sound administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
- Ability to e?ectively organize, prioritize and delegate tasks to achieve departmental goals.
