About the Opportunity

The Roux Institute of Northeastern University is a world-class education research institute that forms partnerships with local businesses and organizations. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to assist with several studies focused on the psychiatric and behavioral health of children with autism. We seek to understand comorbidities such as sleep problems. The individual hired for this position will be responsible for participant recruitment, obtaining written informed consent, collecting data, creating and maintaining a project database, and data entry. In addition, the individual hired for this position will be highly sensitive, patient, and comfortable working with minimally verbal children and children with intellectual disabilities.

Candidates must have their own transportation and must be willing to travel to research participant’s homes.

The individual will work closely with the principal investigator at the Roux Institute in Portland, Maine. This position is full-time and funded for one year. Continuation of the position is subject to grant funding.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or related field
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Proficiency with basic computer packages (e.g., Microsoft Office, SPSS, etc.)
