Job Description
This is a part-time School Nurse position. The position is not eligible for benefits.
The specific dates are: (20 hours per week for 6 weeks beginning June 16 - July 24)
Qualifications:
1. Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse and hold current DOE certification for School Nurse
2. Advanced First Aid Training
3. Basic computer skills
Experience in emergency care preferred.
Responsibilities: Please note that this is not an all inclusive list.
Provide nursing care/oversight to students in three locations: Jordan Small MIddle School, WIndham Primary School, and Windham High School during the Extended School Year Program)
1. Provide care for illness and injury to students and staff according to established protocols as necessary.
2. Provide nursing care as outlined by the individualized health plans for students with chronic health concerns.
3. May administer first aid, handle emergencies and handle triage.
4. Administers medications and oversees diabetic student needs as directed by the individual student health plans.
5. Maintains daily log of student and staff visits to the health office.
6. Assists in planning and implementing health screenings.
7. Maintains health records, including immunization status on all students.
8. Inventory of medical and office supplies.

Job Requirements
- Must be a licensed RN and hold or be in the process of obtaining an approved Maine DOE certification for School Nurse and CHRC at time of hire.
- Bachelor degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
