What You’ll Do:

  • Supervise and manage clinical staff, ensuring optimal care delivery.
  • Monitor patient care and ensure compliance with hospice regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate with the medical director, physicians, and other interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized care plans.
  • Conduct regular clinical assessments and audits to maintain the highest standards of patient care.
  • Provide education and training to clinical staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in hospice care.
  • Assist with staffing and scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage and continuity of care.
  • Act as a resource for clinical staff and families, addressing concerns or questions regarding patient care.
  • Oversee and maintain documentation of patient care, ensuring accurate and timely recordkeeping in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in the development of policies and procedures to improve hospice care practices and patient outcomes.
  • Promote the hospice philosophy of care, ensuring a focus on dignity, comfort, and respect for each patient.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure in Maine.
  • At least 3-5 years of clinical experience in hospice, palliative care, or a related field.
  • Previous leadership or management experience in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of hospice regulations, Medicare guidelines, and clinical best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • BLS/CPR certification required; additional certifications (CHPN, etc.) preferred.
