Position Summary

Bowdoin College’s Digital and Computational Studies (DCS) Program invites applications for a full-time benefits-eligible visiting assistant professor. The appointment begins July 1, 2026 and is for two years, with the possibility of reappointment for a third year, contingent on curricular needs and successful review of teaching. The teaching load is two courses per semester including the introductory course in DCS. Topics for the other courses may include introductory computational methods, statistical methods, text analysis, network analysis, spatial analysis, societal impact of AI, digital media, art and technology, social media, or other undergraduate courses in the candidate’s area of specialization that align with the DCS curriculum.
