  • Position Summary

    • The Audiologist Supervisor is responsible for supervising and overseeing all operational aspects of the audiology department, including audiology services and staffing needs. The Audiology Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the clinical work flow in order to provide the most efficient, effective, safe and comprehensive patient care. The Audiology Supervisor will work with physicians, audiologists, mid-level providers and clinical staff to increase the volume of clinical outpatient services, referral process, patient flow, and maximize the productivity of each practice location.This role carries a caseload in addition to managing a small practice of Audiologists.

  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

    • Education: Degree in Audiology-Masters or Au.D.

    • License/Certifications: Active Audiology licensure. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and have a license issued by the State of Maine as an Audiologist, or be eligible.

    • Experience: Five years of experience in the audiology field. Supervisory/managerial experience, preferred. Experience working with computers.

    • Comprehensive knowledge of audiology practices and standards, medical procedures, tests, and clinical/clerical skills necessary to perform all functions of an Audiologist.

    • Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact effectively with patients, families, and other health care providers

    • Analytical ability required gathering and interpreting information necessary to resolve problems in an accurate and timely manner. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
