Schedule: Pool/Per Diem
The WorkHealth Nurse Practitioner /Physician Assistant (NP/PA) works in collaboration with all members of the Occupational Health care team providing high quality compassionate evaluation and treatment of work related illness and injuries consistent with EMHS' Mission and Values, for both internal and external clients.
The NP/PA will have well developed critical thinking skills and experience in making fitness for duty decisions, and can show logical progression to decision making. The NP/PA applies physical assessment skills and knowledge of biomechanics in order to determine work capacity for the injured patient. Performs work site walk-through assessments to determine employee work processes and potential sources of illness and injury using epidemiological methods to do define and monitor the health and safety needs of company employees. Assists with case management of work-related injuries, new employee health screenings and maintenance of employee health records. Contributes to the design of health controls and surveillance relative to unsafe, and hazardous or toxic conditions in the work environment.
