STARC Systems, a globally recognized leader in industrial temporary modular wall systems, is seeking an IT Business Analyst to join their team in Brunswick, Maine! 

 

This newly created IT role will develop and maintain our Enterprise System Architecture (ESA), through the implementation and support of existing and new workflows, reporting, analytics, and data interoperability of all our cloud-based applications.  This enhanced architecture is the key to managing and evolving our current systems, and therefore the business operations, of our organization. 

 

The IT Business Analyst will ensure the seamless technical integration, configuration, optimization, and utilization of the company’s cloud software, working closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to enhance overall operational efficiency, optimal functionality, safeguarding data integrity and security, and managing incidents, requests, and SLA's.  

 

The successful candidate will have several years of experience in the development and implementation of tools, analytics, and data management within cloud-based applications.

Requirements for the IT Business Analyst: 

  • 8 years of experience with cloud-based applications (analytics, implementation, and data management) as well as IT Management or other information technology solutions architecture.  
  • Experience with data integration patterns and tools.  
  • Understanding of networks and security as it relates to integration and data flow between systems. 
  • Ability to lead a project team using good communication, interpersonal skills, motivation skills and organization.  Experience with project management and coordination is a plus. 
  • Prior experience with designing solutions, implementing, and managing cloud systems. 
  • Experience in managing integrations with external software and tools.  Workato experience is a plus. 
  • Collaborate with diverse teams and communicate technical concepts to stakeholders at various levels. 
  • Ability to work well independently, as well as effectively contribute to a team environment. 
  • Strong data analytics and problem-solving skills.  
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365, databases, and Power BI.  SQL query is a plus. 

 

 

Responsibilities of the IT Business Analyst: 

 

  • Develop our ESA and meet with business stakeholders to understand where there are gaps and opportunities across the entire organization. 
  • Identify and recommend suggested technology upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning options, incorporating business and technology productivity, usability, and total cost of ownership. 
  • Lead requirement and design reviews to ensure traceability for the proposed solution architecture. 
  • Work with business and technology subject matter experts to implement end-to-end solutions that provide value and allow stakeholders to reduce time spent on reactive work.  
  • Lead all companywide software upgrades, integrations, and implementations and model potential outcomes by predicting results of such changes through planned change management. 
  • Develop end user application training and development on software upgrades and implementation where needed. 
  • Participate in budget planning for all company technology as it pertains to maintenance, upgrades, and future enhancements, ensuring cost effectiveness. 
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation and performance of all cloud-based systems including, but not limited to Acumatica, Salesforce, 3dX, Hubspot, and management apps such as Monday, Asana, etc. 
  • Integrate BI tools with our various applications, enabling real-time data analysis, reporting, and visualization for informed decision-making. 
  • Plan and manage all cloud system upgrades, configuration management, and new module implementations, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations. 
  • Oversee the current and future integration of third-party applications through our middleware platform Workato to further streamline business processes and data flow. 
  • Stay current with system industry trends on security architecture.   
  • Run monthly IT Steering Committee meetings by providing updates, prioritizing tasks, and getting feedback about our architecture goals with cross functional management. 
  • Act as liaison with our third-party IT support team Dirigo.
