For seniors and adults with physical disabilities, living independently at home can be a challenge when it comes to the tasks of daily living. Through our statewide Independent Support Services (ISS) Program — also known as the Homemaker Services Program — Catholic Charities connects isolated seniors and physically disabled adults with a professionally-supervised team of dedicated paraprofessionals who help with a variety of tasks to help them remain independent in their home.
The ISS program is currently seeking Independent Support Workers. Duties may include:
- Housekeeping tasks such as: washing dishes, changing bedding, laundry, vacuuming, moping, dusting, cleaning kitchen and bathrooms.
- Meal planning/prep tasks including grocery shopping and carrying groceries into client’s home.
- Running Errands
- Occasional transportation
Positions available are: On-Call (14-18 hours/week), Part-Time (20-29 hours/week), or Full-Time (30-40 hours/week), depending on the area served.
Pay: $17.69 per hour

Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or GED, own reliable transportation, a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license. Must have an active email address and the ability to report time worked online. Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull up to 20 lbs.
