As a Soldering Specialist for the organization, your primary role is to solder printed circuit boards (PCBs) using both through hole and surface mount technology (SMT), as well as perform routine assembly operations and set-up of a variety of functions within a product family in various stages of completion. Follow written processes and possible rework instructions to complete products through several stages of manufacturing.

Functions & Responsibilities

  • You will solder electronic components onto PCBs using hand tools and soldering irons
  • You will inspect solder joints to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
  • You will read and interpret instructions and processes
  • You will use microscopes and magnifying tools for fine pitch soldering and inspection
  • You will operate and maintain soldering equipment, including rework stations and tools
  • You will identify and correct assembly or soldering defects
  • You will be involved in required training per job requirements

Job Requirements

  • You must have IPC J-STD-001 Certification (or willing to be recertified if expired)
  • You must have familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards
  • You must have excellent dexterity and the ability to handle small components
  • You must have basic computer skills and the ability to read work instructions
  • You must have strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • You must be able to work independently while maintaining alignment with team goals
  • You must have good organizational skills

Educational Requirements

  • High School or equivalent
  • IPC J-STD-001 Certification (or willing to be recertified if expired)
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards is preferred
  • 1-2 years of related work experience
