Required Qualifications:
Candidate must hold a Teacher of Children with Disabilities Endorsement or a Middle Level Teaching Endorsement in (100) ELA or (300) Mathematics and current CHRC authorization through the State of Maine Department of Education.
MSAD #11 is dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive educational environment where all students can thrive. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated educator with a strong background in literacy and/or math to join our dynamic team to provide small group instruction to students with diverse learning needs.
The ideal candidate will:
Plan for and implement innovative and inclusive lesson plans, incorporating research-based strategies and accommodations to support diverse learners.
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential.
Utilize ongoing assessment data to monitor student progress, identify areas for growth, and adjust instruction, accordingly, ensuring that all students make continuous gains in their literacy or math skills.
Demonstrate a passion for education and a commitment to ensuring that all students have equitable access to high-quality instruction.
Have strong knowledge of best practices in special education, including differentiated instruction, Universal Design for Learning, and the use of assistive technology.
Possess strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues alike.
Access and adapt curricula to craft innovative lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners.
