Location: Gardiner Regional Middle School
Date Position Available: 2024-2025 School Year
Required Qualifications: Candidate must hold a Teacher of Children with Disabilities Endorsement or a Middle Level Teaching Endorsement in (100) ELA or (300) Mathematics and current CHRC authorization through the State of Maine Department of Education.
MSAD #11 is dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive educational environment where all students can thrive. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated educator with a strong background in literacy and/or math to join our dynamic team to provide small group instruction to students with diverse learning needs.
The ideal candidate will:
  • Plan for and implement innovative and inclusive lesson plans, incorporating research-based strategies and accommodations to support diverse learners.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential.
  • Utilize ongoing assessment data to monitor student progress, identify areas for growth, and adjust instruction, accordingly, ensuring that all students make continuous gains in their literacy or math skills.
  • Demonstrate a passion for education and a commitment to ensuring that all students have equitable access to high-quality instruction.
  • Have strong knowledge of best practices in special education, including differentiated instruction, Universal Design for Learning, and the use of assistive technology.
  • Possess strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues alike.
  • Access and adapt curricula to craft innovative lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners.
