Director of Sector Partnerships

The Maine Community College System (MCCS) is looking to fill a full-time Director of Sector Partnerships position which reports to the Chief Workforce Development Officer. The Director of Sector Partnerships will lead and oversee the strategic direction, growth, and performance of industry sector development within the State of Maine. This role requires a visionary leader with extensive industry knowledge and experience to drive market expansion, improve operational efficiency, and enhance overall sector profitability. This position is grant funded through December 31, 2030. The Director of Sector Partnerships position is classified as a confidential position, level 7. The required minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, engineering, or a related field. 10 years of experience in a senior management role within one or more specific industry sector(s). Proven record of accomplishment of strategic leadership and business development. Deep understanding of industry sectors, including market dynamics, regulatory environment, and technological advancements. Master’s degree preferred.

- Training and learning theory and practice.

- Computer skills to Include Microsoft Office Suite, electronic communications.

- Ability to work effectively with data and ensure its integrity.
