Work Schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Summary:

Northern Light Blue Hill Hospital is a 25-bed critical
access hospital offering primary and select specialty
healthcare services.

Perform nursing assessment and care of acute and chronically ill medical-surgical patients. Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to assure patients' needs and care requirements are met throughout the continuum of care. Participate in organizational performance activities that impact patient care.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Provides safe and effective patient care by using best practices during hand off communication and when reporting patient care information and appropriately asks for assistance from other staff. (Patient Safety)
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills in location, operation, and care of equipment. (Patient Safety)
  • Performs and documents systematic assessments according to established criteria. (Clinical Assessments)
  • Recognizes and responds to abnormal diagnostic data and reports to appropriate provide (Clinical Assessments)

Other information:
BLS Required. ACLS with first year.

Essential:

* No previous experience required.

Credentials: Maine Registered Nurse License or eligible to obtain.

Education: Associates degree. Bachelors degree preferred.

Experience: Two years of nursing experience is preferred.

Working conditions:
Essential:
* Lifting, moving and loading 30 to 50 pounds.
* Alternate shift schedules (day, evening, nights, weekends).
