We are seeking an experienced Special Education Director to join our top-notch administrative team. This position directs and is actively involved in the daily operations and services of the Five Town CSD/MSAD #28 (PK-12) special education programs. The Department is comprised of the Director, Assistant Director, approximately 16 teachers, and 40 Ed Techs. We are always looking to improve the department, so will value a breadth of experience, a spirit of innovation, and a strategic thinker. Ours is a supportive environment that values teamwork and shared decision-making. The position works closely with the Superintendent and building principals.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a Masters Degree in Special Education, five years of experience as an Administrator of Special Education, five years of experience teaching in a Special Education environment, Maine 030 Certification, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
