Location: Remote, primarily Kennebunk, ME to Brunswick, ME
Salary: Starting at $70,000-$90,000/year
On-call rotation: ~1x every 8 weeks (team of 8)

ProSearch is hiring on behalf of a confidential IT client for a System Administrator role focused on maintaining, supporting, and optimizing client IT environments. This role combines project-based work with BAU support and is ideal for candidates with 5+ years of System Administration experience.

Key Responsibilities
Systems & Cloud Administration
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments (2022+)
  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services
  • Administer Office 365/Microsoft 365 and cloud environments (Azure AD, cloud identity)
Project & BAU Support
  • Lead and execute IT projects for client systems
  • Provide day-to-day operational support for servers, workstations, and cloud services
  • Document solutions and update ticketing system for continuity and knowledge sharing
Security & Network Support
  • Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and other network security tools
  • Apply system updates, patches, and manage antivirus solutions
  • Troubleshoot basic networking issues (TCP/IP, routing, VLANs)
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Work closely with team members to implement best practices
  • Recommend infrastructure improvements and technology upgrades
  • Stay updated on Microsoft ecosystem, cloud, and cybersecurity trends
Client Service
  • Communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical users
  • Maintain professional and positive client interactions
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on System Administration experience (MSP experience highly preferred)
  • Expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365/Microsoft 365, and cloud services
  • Firewall configuration and basic networking knowledge
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and client-service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously
Certifications (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • CompTIA Network+ / Security+
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
Work Requirements
  • On-site visits in Kennebunk, ME to Brunswick, ME
  • On-call rotation approximately once every 8 weeks
  • Reliable transportation for client site visits
