Patient Services is the first point of contact for patients and visitors to the health center. The Patient Services Supervisor must represent Greater Portland Health (GPH) with the highest standard of customer service, compassion, and perform all duties in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and customer service standards.
Generally, the Patient Services Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the front desk staff and can perform all the functions of a Patient Services Representative. This person hires, trains, and coaches Patient Services Representatives (PSRs) who are responsible for greeting patients, conducting patient check-in/check-out, ensuring demographic, insurance information, and updating payment information within the practice management system (NextGen). The Patient Services Supervisor performs general office management duties and assists with mitigating patient challenges, complaints, and is responsible for managing waiting room issues (patient disruptions, etc.).
- Must be available to work Monday - Friday 7:45am - 4:15pm
- This position is not eligible for a hybrid or fully remote schedule.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Level 3 English is required.
- Experience in customer service is required.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is required.
- Supervisory experience is desired.
