The cardiology group will be involved in a shock registry program, which will consist of patients admitted to Maine Medical Center for cardiogenic shock. The objective is to collect clinical variables from medical records of shock patient’s heart from multiple institutions for analysis of clinical outcomes. This will be in conjunction with Tufts Medical Center and several other medical centers nationally. The intern in this position will be responsible for data collection at Maine Medical Center.

The MaineHealth summer intern program runs from June 3, 2019 through August 9, 2019.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Student who is currently enrolled in a four-year degree program in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Strong analytical thinking.
Must work independently, take initiative to complete assigned projects with minimal direction, and be able to prioritize tasks within an assigned project.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in the performance of duties.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and other technologies as needed.
