Full job description
This posting is for a long-term substitute teaching position for a high school band director at South Portland High School. This position involves teaching symphonic band, music history and theory and AP music theory. A successful LTS should:
-Create and implement a music curriculum that's engaging and meets the needs of all students
-Lead classes and rehearsals for performances
-Assess student progress and adapt instruction to meet individual needs
-Organize and maintain records for student attendance, achievement, and activities
-Promote a safe and supportive classroom environment
Preference given for those who currently hold or are eligible for Maine Music 614 (K-12) certification. Website: https://www.maine.gov/doe/cert/requirements
