Job Summary:
Summary
Individual is responsible for repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment, utilities, exterior grounds and completing renovation work within this facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Gathers information regarding activity and outstanding issues from previous shift.
- Assesses priorities regarding maintenance activities requested.
- Takes appropriate action to resolve or decide to have issue addressed.
- Protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimming, and fixtures by applying paint, stain, etc.
- Constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures and fixtures of wood, plywood and wallboard, using carpenter’s hand and power tools.
- Repairs, replaces adjusts, lubricates, and cleans equipment which are in need of repair, or are on a scheduled preventive maintenance program.
- Performs ground care task to include, but not limited to, sweeping pavements, racking leaves, shoveling snow, spreading sand/salt.
- Rebuilds or repairs mechanical or electric components of malfunction electrical systems.
- Provides back-up support for all trades, including emergency courier services, personnel sick and vacation time.
- Reports in a timely fashion to area with maintenance problem. Assesses the situation and performs required maintenance task to resolve problem.
- Responsible for the general cleanup after a storm.
- Keeps work areas safe and clean.
- Completes other related duties.
- Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry.
- Other duties as consistent with this role.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Maine Driver’s License
- 1-3 years of related of maintenance experience preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with this position that involve a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching. Lifting/carrying frequently up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Some stress is related to a high level of responsibility for quality care. The ability to speak, read, write, and understand written instructions in English is required.

Comp Range:
$21.55 - $32.33Rate of pay displayed reflects the beginning of the pay scale. At the time of an offer, determination of your offer will reflect your skills and experience as it relates to the position.
