Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children? Do you have a strong sense of empathy, patience, and a desire to help them thrive? If so, KidsPeace on Graham Lake in Ellsworth is seeking dedicated and compassionate Childcare Workers to join our team!
We currently have openings for part-time "Weekend Warriors" with flexible weekend schedules to work around your needs.
KidsPeace is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to providing help, hope, and healing to children facing a variety of challenges. Our residential facility on Graham Lake in Ellsworth serves as a safe and nurturing environment where children can grow, learn, and overcome obstacles. As a Childcare Worker at KidsPeace, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and nurturing atmosphere for children and adolescents.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing direct care and supervision to residents
* Building positive relationships with the children and promoting their emotional and social development
* Assisting with daily routines, including mealtime, bedtime, and recreational activities
* Collaborating with a team of professionals to ensure the well-being of residents
* Maintaining a safe and clean environment
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Previous experience working with children or in a residential facility is a plus
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to handle challenging behaviors with patience and empathy
* Must pass background checks
