The Conference Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the planning and execution of events, conferences, and summer housing programs across the University of New England. This is an entry-level position focused on logistical coordination, administrative support, and on-site event management.
This is a full-time, salaried position with an anticipated salary of $43,951.

Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and coordinating operations and administrative tasks related to event logistics, including budgets, invoices, and purchase orders.
- Coordinate all logistical aspects of events such as room scheduling, housing assignments, catering, facility setup, security, and media services—by collaborating with various UNE departments.
- Serve as the primary on-site contact during events, providing outstanding customer service to faculty, professional staff, clients, and vendors.
- Oversee assigned programs and events, ensuring smooth execution from start to finish.
- Supervise and provide guidance to student staff involved in the Summer Conference Program.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required, with relevant experience in event coordination, customer service, or administrative support. An associate degree in Business, Hospitality, Event Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks, timelines, and priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours during peak event seasons, travelling between campus locations as needed.
- Ability to stand, walk for extended periods, and lift or move event-related equipment such as tables and chairs.
