ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Directly supervises clinical staff within the department
    • Develops New Employee orientation within department
    • Performs initial and regular competencies of clinical staff to assure clinical standards are met and maintained
    • Facilitates annual evaluations of staff
    • Mentors and counsels staff to include initiating Performance Improvement plans
    • Assures adequate staffing levels based on physician to staff ratio
    • Coordinate and conduct regular staff meetings
  • Collaborates with Imaging Manager on designing, implementing, and sustaining workflows to improve the practice daily operational efficiency, provider and staff satisfaction, and patient experience
  • Acts as first line resource for staff and physicians
  • Foster intradepartmental support and collaboration
  • Champions organizational and departmental quality care initiatives
  • Communicates with patients to address and resolve patient complaints
  • Distributes practice management reports as directed by Practice Manager
  • Coordinates and/or monitors staffing hours and payroll records to minimize overtime while maintaining adequate staffing levels
  • Serves as ergonomic liaison
  • Provide support to eCW primary contacts
  • Coordinate hiring and performance management of technical staff
  • Develop staff scheduling to maximize staff and equipment utilization and minimize overtime
  • Support of ACR accreditation process: Mammography, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound
  • Facilitate proper equipment maintenance.
  • Act as a resource and facilitator regarding compliance with both Intermed and Imaging policies and procedures
  • Policy and procedure review including development of supportive workflows
  • Collaborate with Imaging Manager in developing, implementing, and monitoring the budget
  • Actively participate in Imaging leadership team
  • Perform duties of Imaging Manager in his/her absence
  • Represent the Imaging Department at assigned meetings and other internal/external activities
  • Coordinate with manager to meet and enforce all HIPAA regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Associates degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Five years of previous leadership experience
  • Advanced Level ARRT Certification(s)
  • Ability to use independent judgment
  • Ability to interact productively and positively with patients, radiologist(s), technologists and staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
