Our client, a professional services firm, in downtown Portland is seeking a temporary Sr. Accountant for several months. The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of experience in Accounting within professional services, accounting firm or banking.

Position Summary:
The Sr. Accountant is a key member of the accounting team and will work closely with the Finance Management Team on various functions and responsibilities. Responsibilities include performing a variety of accounting functions. This may include driving the completion of month-end close process, maintaining the general ledger and accounting reconciliation software, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, assisting with preparation of financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and assisting with regulatory weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual filings with regulatory bodies. A successful Sr. Accountant I will be detail-oriented, team-focused, willing to collaborate across disciplines, receptive to feedback and posess strong analytical skills.

This is an immediate need with one of our favorite professional services clients in Downtown Portland.

Preferred exposure to one or more of the following software programs: Banktel, Blackline, Lease query, Abrego, Axum, Jack Henry and must be highly proficient in excel.
Candidate will work on site, Monday-Friday, daytime hours.

3-6 month temporary position.
$30-33/hr.
