Millinocket Regional Hospital has an immediate opening for a full-time Rehab Coordinator to over see the scheduling and proper processing of patients in the Rehab department. clinic.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities include managing inter-departmental communications; communication with referrers/providers; clerical duties such as faxing, filing, answering telephone calls, etc.; creation and maintenance of patient files/charts; registering patients; recording and entering billing charges; managing schedule for rehab practitioners; departmental supply inventory; maintaining tidy office and treatment spaces, including laundry and sanitizing equipment; regular equipment checks. Individual will also create reports related to departmental statistics and other tasks as instructed by PT Coordinator.
Qualifications: Associates Degree in a related field is preferred. Communication skills are essential. Must have knowledge of medical terminology, and hospital and Rehab department operations. Must have the ability to interact with a wide variety of professional and non-professional individuals. Prior experience with electronic documentation and billing is a plus. Ability to work well with frequent and multiple interruptions during the course of the day.
General Information: Full-time, hourly position. 40 hours per week. Monday – Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
